If Puerto Rico is a USA Possession using USPS mail domestic rate why people in USA think we are international?

The situation at the moment when we order products via internet, catalog ... Many people (companies ) already know we are (PUERTO RICO) using domestic rate

  1. Because PR is not a state or territory, not part of the US proper, but a 'possession'. That means its a foreign country with its own government and laws. And you don't pay income taxes, so be glad. 8^)
  2. Like Hawaii did many years ago, Puerto Ricans should try and become the 51st State of the Union!
  3. Puerto RIco is a self governing country with a free association with the US as a commonwealth. They are classified as international, they are a different nation even though they have a political association with the US.
  4. Because Puerto Rico is a country, does not matter if they have a free association or not, it is still another country.
  5. I know americans who think they have to have a passport to go to Hawaii. It's just ignorance.
