Upper age limit for post office jobs?

Is there an upper age limit for hiring on with the United States Postal Service (USPS)? I cannot find any info online regarding this. Thanks. Update - thank you both for great answers. That's really encouraging! I understand it can take ages to get hired if you do well on the tests and interviews...I will look into this locally on Monday.

  1. No there is no age limit. You just have to be able to perform the required tasks. My wife had a 63 year old working as a Temporary Rural Carrier in her office. Locally a friend of our delivers mail as a Rural Carrier and is 64 years old. No age limit juts work ethic and abliity to due the job. Best of Luck!!
  2. My dad started at age 48 and I started at 21, also there was a mailhandler who started at 75 part time.
