Postal Letter

For a letter sent priority from Europe to US, does USPS handle it as priority mail within the US or 1st class?

I need to send a letter from Denmark than must arrive in Oregon within a week. The post office here is much cheaper, but all they tell me is that they will send it to the U.S. within 24 hours - I have no idea how long it will take the U.S. postal service to deliver it to the west coast. Does anyone have experience sending mail from Europe to the U.S. west coast, or know how the USPS treats incoming foreign priority mail?

  1. From what I have shipped/recived in the past, if you payed for priority in your country, it will be treated as priority here.
  2. it should be priority to the destination ,
