Is it true that the UPS mail delivery service is going out of business?

Someone sent me an e mail to say that UPS was going out of business and that the email from them with tracking numbers for packages to be received are loaded with a virus? Has anyone had this experience? Thank you all for your answers. Giveit to meaga - you clarified the issue the most. Best Answer goes to you.

1. no it is likely some scam... DHL just anounced that they are closing some places down but neither are going out of business. I would watch the email you got it is prob some sort of phishing email.
2. UPS does not deliver mail. UPS package service is not going out of business. DHL (a UPS competitor) is closing their US operations
3. It is DHL, and they are just shutting down domestic shipping in the US. UPS is taking over that part of their operations.
4. UPS is NOT going out of business.
