what is the difference between usps parcel post and 1st class?

im ordering something offline and the options for mail are usps parcel post which is $11.73 and 1st class which is $10.80. i wanted to know,what is the difference?

1. parcel post is slow. it's only shipped on the ground via a truck. once the truck is filled with boxes and other items it will be on it's way to you. first class is much faster and will get to you in a few days. first class, i believe is shipped via air. i would go with first class.
2. Parcel Post travels by surface transportation. The further it has to travel the longer it takes. The average is 2-9 days nationwide. First Class Mail travels by surface for about 500 miles, if it is going over that, it flies. The average is 3 days nationwide.
