Why is USPS taking so long?

So, I ordered a package from newegg which is an electronic store on the internet and usually I have had good shipping but this time I am not. I chose free shipping which is 3-7 business day shipping. It shipped out on the 17th of november by DHL and arrived in my home state on the 25th. It has been sitting in Albany for a few days and keeps saying processed ( it has said processed 3-4 times) the last few days. When will my package come..?

1. They are probably waiting for a number of packages to build up that are all going to your area. That way they save money on gas. (Yes, free shipping usually sucks)
2. It's a privatized branch of the government and like the rest of big business there has been no oversight so they charge a lot of money and give very poor service.
3. If you haven't been watching the news, DHL was one of the companies that was asking for bailout money. They laid off thousands of employees and are probably having a few problems delivering on time. Be patient. If I were you, I'd call the company and ask. Good luck.
4. Once DHL gets it into your home state, it's then transferred to your local post office. That takes an extra day (from the 25th to the 26th) and you can no longer track it through DHL -- it will only say "processing". . Yesterday (the 27th) there was no mail delivery, so your package was probably sitting in the post office. It may be delivered today.
