Postal Letter

How do you send a postal order?

I need to send someone a postal order, and I have no idea how. What do you need to do?

Public Comments

  1. Buy it and post it.
  2. Ah come on now!! Go to your local post office and they will help you. You just need the cash amount, they will do the rest.
  3. ask at your local post office you can buy them in any amount and there is a small charge. Then buy the correct value postal order in your local Post Office® and send it to the vendor through the post. You can have the payee name printed on the new style Postal Orders which makes them even more secure. An attempt to cash a Postal Order after this 6 month expiry date will be at the Post Office Ltd's discretion.
  4. Buy the postal order from the post office on the postal order its self you can write the name of the person you are sending it to you can cross it if you want but if you do it can only be put into that persons bank account if you don't cross it the person can cash it at the post office it will cost you a bit more than the amount you want to send also you tear off the stub for you receipt it is very easy hope this helps
