What Is The Best Virus Protection Program On The Market?
What is the best virus protection program on the market? I have tried the free ones but am going to go ahead and spend the money on a good one but before I do that, I am wanting to know which is the best program out there that will cover everything from virus to malware to spybots. Is it McAfee? Norton? What other programs should I consider? Any and all answers would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

- Norton of McAfee http://us.mcafee.com http://norton.com/ I am not sure if this is the right Norton website. It probably is.
- I am currently running AVG, I have paid for it, and it's the best i've used by far. I've used - Norton Avast McAfee Bit Defender Good luck :) Please remember to vote good/best answer if I helped Got a question? - Message me xD
- AVG at free.grisoft.com it uses less resoruces, background scan, and its free for personal use.
- AVG http://www.brothersoft.com/avg-anti-virus-free-edition-60620.html AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 8.0.173 Protect your computer from viruses and malicious programs RICHARD
- AVG is by far the best. McAfee and Norton are good, but bad all the same. They use up way too much memory and are just plain annoying with updates and things like that. AVG is very good. Even the free version is good. EDIT: I'm not sure, but AVG might not have spyware protection. If it doesn't, get SpyBot. It's the best, even though it's free.
- Kaspersky or Nod32.
- I recommend Kasperky Internet Security 2009. I have used Norton 360 but had nothing but problems with it. You can go to the Kaspersky web site and down load a full version on a 30 day trial. Try it, I think you will like it. Kaspersky also offers online tutorials on how to set up and use their software.
- Mcafee and norton are about as useful as a toilet seat full of crabs. Not to mention they are both resource hogs and mcafee's spamkiller updates are worse than having adware on your pc. neither one of these have great detection. I used to have mcafee full version and it failed miserably. I've never tried norton, but I've really heard it bogs down your pc. I use Stopzilla. it will kill all that stuff you've mentioned. It is the most powerful one i have ever used and I've tried a bunch of them. Some of the free products can do the job, but you have to have 5 or 6 of them on your machine, seeing how they are only good for minor infections. Anyhow good luck.
- Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware & Avira AntiVir
