What Virus Protection Should I Get For My MacBook?

Today(December 25th) i got a New Aluminum MacBook, people always say macs don't have viruses but i know that's bull and i don't want my brand new MacBook to he infected. So what is a good freeware virus protection for my mac?

1. The only "bull" is that anti-virus software protects you effectively against malware. The real protection is called an education. Read up on social engineering and how to avoid it. Other than that (i.e., you being tricked into installing malware yourself), Macs have a proper security implementation (unlike Windows XP), whereby you operate as a limited user 99% of the time and have to password-authenticate to temporarily assume administrator privileges for the few tasks that require that privilege level.
2. personally, this program is pretty useful .. it creates a virtue computer ... so when viruses attack, it actually attacks the virtue computer, when you restart, everything turns back to normal I dont know if Mac can use it you can always use Kaspersky Internet Security
