I was told that the U.S.P.S. has openinga at the post office at Zip code 76574, and would like to apply.

  1. its not easy, you don't walk in and get hired. you have to register to take a test when its open (it opens rarely). Then you take this civil service exam and post a score of at least 70%. Veterans get 5 bonus pts, disable vets 10 pts. so top score for vets is 110 and nonvets 100. Score means a lot as higher scores get interviewed and hired prior to lower scores. Really, everything else but the score, doesn't matter. Hiring is strictly by the rules. Your local post office probably has a 800# that you can call to find out when a test is opening up. To find out about an exam opening up, check with your local Postmaster who won't know but will help you find out. Its hard to get in but its a good job with security, benefits and good wages.
