Retired military pension VS postal employment?
I am receiving military retirement pay after 20+ years of active duty with a 10% disabled rating. If I take a post office position, how does this affect my retirement pay, if at all. And what could I expect for vacation time initially. Is there a web site that explains these Post Office benefits for military retirees? Thanks in advance for your replies.

- The postal service is under the federal retirement system. It won't touch your retired pay; you can draw both concurrently. The second link will show your vacation time accrual.
- Your post-USAF employment will not affect your military retirement pay or any VA disability that you receive. The only exception to this is if you are a VERY highly paid federal official where the limits of Level-II of the SES could kick in. The limitations would be applied to your Civil Service paycheck, not your military retirement or disability.
