Does fedex ground include insurance?

I am preparing to ship a package through Fedex ground or Fedex home delivery. Does Fedex automatically include insurance on your shipment, based on declared value?

1. You get $50 free, but you have to pay for more than that.
2. FedEx actually doesn't offer "insurance" but declared value (which is replacement vaule). Up to $100 is included with your shipment. $3.00 for each additional $100. If you need insurance check out a company called transglobal.
