Are postal workers allowed to deliberately stamp a different postmark date?
I was just wondering, because I was at the post office today, and I saw the stamp thing, and its one of those twisty kinds that you can change the dates daily. So if they stamped say, last week's date, would that be a bad thing for the postal worker?

- The postmark date is supposed to be the current date. It would be illegal to backdate a postmark.
- yeah
- I'm pretty sure that's against the law. I'm a mechanic and we used to have a contract to work on postal vehicle's. One day I was asked to remove the sliding door panel to check for mail, while a postal superintendent watched me, and there were like 15 letters in there that were atleast 6 months old. Atleast 2 of them were credit card payments. True Story.
