Postal Letter

I want a good system to store my postal addresses on my pc?

I just want to store family and friends etc postal addresses, phone nos and info on my pc so I can print out labels for Christmas cards etc. Outlook express address book dos`nt seem to be what I want. Any ideas please - I had a good system on my old WP!

1. This doesn't sound like a security question! However, you might want to try ACT!, which is contact management software.
2. ACT! is likely to be massive overkill. For a really simple solution, how about storing it in Excel. You can then mailmerge the information into Word and print out address labels from there. This will allow you to do personalised letters as well as labels &c.
3. Use Tryecrypt. Its free and the best.
4. You can do it quite easily in Word by putting the addresses into a table, so one column for each part of the address and then using mailmerge to create your labels or envelopes. You can even do the same in Excel if you prefer or if you think you may want at a future stage to be able to do more with the addresses, you can then export them into Access database. You don't need any specialist software.
