Why do people on here hate the Daily Mail?

Does it hit the nerve with some? Is it informative? Or is it just a ranters poor excuse for a newspaper? Telly page is okay and the horoscope is usually spot on LOL. So - wassup?

1. i dont see a problem i prefer the independent but its fine it does what its supposed to do

3. because it is a center wing newspaper. THe people on this site are devote left wing or devote right wing. I read the Daily Mail but that is only because my parents are center wing people. To tell you something I am devote left.......I think
4. cos it supported hitler in the war and its racist. also, the people that the daily mail likes are normally the celebs evry1 else hates. and it makes snide comments about everything. thats why.
5. It's percieved as the most far-right paper. If you read it you'll usually find a few articles on how Britain is going to the dogs and it's all the fault of Muslims, Polish plumbers and asylum seekers. Back in the 30s it supported the British Union of Fascists for a short period of time.
6. It just has a reputation for being very right wing and looking at everything through blinkers. It is also very moralistic about what everyone else should believe.
7. I guess it's people with left wing political bias hate the right wing Mail. I read it but as with any news story that interests me I also search on the internet for more information from a different perspective.
8. Alana C is almost right. The Mail is very right wing, and it appeals to those of us who take a black and white view of life. It also often has some very good wildlife photography within it - often bears - which appeals to those of us who take a black and white view of life, but are also ursaphiles (people who love bears). And reading the Mail of course helps you to decide who to be friends with - certainly not criminal cuddling Guardian readers!!!! Oh no!!!
9. Because many here seem to be PC left wingers who think questioning immigration or poison spouting Imams is racist which its not. Yes sadly in the past for some reason it was misled by Mosley but that was in the thirties it has no time for Griffin or his cronies. The real issue for the left is the paper is unapologetic about its patriotism and support for family values and law and order they prefer metropolitan liberal values with there love of the EU and making excuses for criminals and mocking the traditional family which is why they usually end up reading The Guardian.

11. The Daily Mail speaks the truth about immigration, the lefties on here don't like the truth. Richard Littlejohn should be knighted for loyalty to England.
12. It's a ghastly right-wing rag which stokes it's readers' prejudices and fear of anything different. However it could be worse, at least it's not as bad as the Daily Express.
13. because on the whole The Daily Mail is actually a very boring and depressing read. Its always forewarning us with exaggerated and condescending tones about some disaster waiting to happen which then turns out to be a non-event. If you are an individual with a working brain, the Daily Mail is an insult to your intelligence.
