How long does USPS International take to get to a major city?

My girlfriend has been in Oslo, Norway for a while because her dad is ill and I want to mail her a letter to lighten her up and give her something besides just the phone call or internet chat. Does anyone know how long it usually takes a USPS First-Class Mail® International Letter to arrive in a major European city? I'm in the States. Michigan.

1. My parents mail me letters from Indiana to Oslo, and they typically take somewhere between 7 and 10 days by USPS First Class Airmail. We usually see the quickest times when things are mailed from a post office in a major city, since it cuts down slightly on the number of times it gets transferred and sorted. (FYI - Packages, even small ones, usually take a bit longer, because of Norwegian customs.)
