What happens to someone who forges a change of address application once it's been reported to the usps?
I reported a girls that forged my name on the change of address form. She filled it out in the post office and the postal worker identified her to the police after I contacted them. I have copies of the forged document. I aslo reported it to the usps investigators since it was a federal matter this is what I was told to do by the state police. What will happen to this girl? Will anything happen to her?

- Federal Prison.
- She will be charged in federal court. If she is found guilty of the crime, she will most likely be faced with a fine (if this is her first offense) or jail/prison time (if she has done this before). Check with the Postal Inspectors. They cannot give you information if the case is still being investigated, but if it's going to trial, they should be able to tell you that.
