When does USPS update their tracking and confirmation info?
This is what I get on USPS.com There is no record of this item. Why Are You Receiving This Message? 1. Event information may not be available if your item was mailed recently. Please try again later. 2. The number was entered incorrectly. Be sure to enter all of the letters and numbers as they appear on your mailing label or receipt On the website I ordered the item from it says it has been shipped, and I also got a shipping confirmation. So I am bit confused at the moment.

- The USPS information is updated when they scan it in shipping and receiving at the route waypoints. The information from the vendor's website is independent of the USPS tracking information. They may have taken it to USPS to be shipped today but USPS has not scanned the package in at the shipping dock yet. I'd give it about 12 hours. If you still don't see it, contact the vendor.
- I believe the website says they update every evening. I got a message like that from an ebay seller. Turns out the situation is that they print out the shipping label online and it automatically gives them a tracking number even though the item hasn't actually been picked up by or dropped off to USPS. So, this may be the case. I'd just check again in the morning. :)
- The item is scanned from when it is received in the big mail warehouse. If your package was not scanned there could be a number of factors such as. Your ink was too faded for the laser to read or the barcode was obscured by it being bent on the corner of the package.
