USPS tracking number problem?

I recently placed an order on yesasia.com (yesterday) and they told me about 3 hours later that my order was shipped. They gave me a usps tracking number but the number doesn't work. USPS says that "there is no record of this item". Did yesasia give me the wrong tracking number? Should I contact them?
