How to tell the post office to not deliver a package?

So I have the tracking number but I dont want my wife to see a package was delivered since its a gift for her. Is there a way to call the post office and tell them the tracking number and say for them to not deliver it and for me to drive to the post office to pick it up?

1. You will probably have to go the the USPS website, and through the "contact us" section, submit your request. You might try leaving a note to your mail carrier. Good luck!
