What's your experience receiving packages via US postal service?

i can tell from the tracking number it's about 1/2 hour drive from me. Amazon estimates it will take 10 days for me to receive my package. Isn't that sad?

1. Amazon says that about all packages. It really depends on where it ships from, who you buy it from, etc. Most merchants ship within 48 hrs, so you would probably get it within a few days to a week.
2. Remember that Amazon has to make sure you have paid for your purchase before sending. It is not the Postal services fault when Amazon desides to send to you your order. I have received things by mail and my packages came in a neat and tidy manner.
3. amazon estimates are never right. i had a package ship friday and i got it tuesday. it estimated i would receive it ten days from now. but usps.com isn't very good with updating their tracking info. i like ups tracking better.
