How much do I tip my mailman for Christmas?

My parents never tip the mailman so I thought it would be nice if I tipped him this year. Do you think $20.00 is generous?

1. yeah! anyhting for them is nice and give him some cookies too =) i think he would love that
2. I wouldn't tip him money at all. You can offer him Holiday treats like cake, muffin, cookies, whatever just not money. He shouldn't accept money for doing his job, he's a government worker. If they found out he was accepting money from people; he would lose his job.
