Could i ship out internationally with a simple small flat rate box?

i mean, i need to ship sthg to netherlands and want to do it using (Priority Mail® International Small Flat-Rate Box) which is the cheapeast one so far.. but is it possible i could use a different of my own small flat plain box instead of using the usps one for the same cheapeast amount of price?

1. If your package will weigh less than the flat-rate rate, then you could possibly save money. Remember, the flat-rate box postage is the same whether the box weighs 1 pound or 5 pounds.
