US Postal Mail. How many pages can you mail in a standard envelope with a 42 cent stamp?

before you have to pay additional postage?

1. maximum 5 pages
2. 2 ounces or less and if a normal shape envelope.
3. I've always stopped at 3 pages. If I have more than that then I add extra postage to make sure it is enough (from home). Or you can have it weighed at the post office and then you will know when you need to add more when you are at home.
4. I would say 3-4 depending on the weight of the paper. A 42 cent stamp sends one ounce. More than that you add postage.
