Postal Letter

I just sold a book on amazon and i used first class shipping united states postal service?

they provided me with a Signature confirmation # AND label receipt number. when i put it in the Usps.com it tells me "Delivery status information is not available for your item via this web site." so How do i provide my customer with a tracking number. I just did all of this today. plz help

1. USPS doesn't update the info from those numbers often enough for it to work as a tracking number....you really don't see every step pof the way like you would with UPS, in fact you usually don't see anything until it's actually delivered so I would call it more of a delivery confirmation number than a tracking number.
