Postal Letter

This might sound wierd but is the mailman treating me special or just being nice?

I moved into my fiance's house not to long ago and every morning when I leave for work the mailman will be standing there to give me my mail whereas wen other people are outside actually waiting for the mail he just puts it in their mailbox anyway. This has been mentioned to my fiance by the neighbors once or twice before. My fiancé just laughs and says it's funny. So is he treating me special or just being nice?
