How long does the post office forward mail?

How long will the post office forward mail and is there a special thing where they will forward bills no matter what? I have a couple Dr bills that i havent received yet and i worry about getting late fee's if there not forwarded i wouldnt ever know and i dont remember the names or the phone number of the dr's i went too. Thanks

1. well post office will not be closed forever even if we go to cyber stage ,their role is a vital role but this is a human network and human work there so mail can be late but post offices will never stop forwording mails.
2. If you are in the UK, and you've set up the Redirection (Forwarding Service) it will last as long as you paid for. They will forward all items with the stated names on it, but nothing else. I'm guessing this is fairly similar in all countries. Its quite possible that your bills missed the redirection and got delivered to the original place by mistake - this can happen, we're only human - and you may just have to get in touch with them, or give it a few days. They may have put it back in the mail which means it'll either get returned to the doctor as "untraceable" or sent on to you, if they catch it in the redirect. I don't think you have too much to worry about, if you're doctor is good, he'll understand.
