How long does it take for mail to get to HI?

How long does it take for someone in HI to receive a letter by me sent on the 10th of this month? I put two forever stamps on it and dropped it off outside the post office in El Monte, CA. Please don't put a link to the USPS site, I went to it and it confussed the hell outta me.

1. Why did you put two stamps on the letter? Unless it was really heavy, there's no need for that. Hawaii is part of the U.S., so you can mail letters here for the same $.42 it costs to mail a letter to any of the other 49 states. ;) From the west coast, it should only take 2-3 days for a letter to get here. I would imagine the person you sent it to should have it on Thurs. or Fri. Saturday at the latest. ETA: Wow, 3 thumbs down for a correct answer? You people are ridiculous. Today I received a card my mom sent from North Carolina on Monday. That's THREE DAYS, people! 3 days for a regular sized letter to go 5000 miles. Whatever. What a waste of my time and knowledge.
2. i lived in Hi, i remember a parcel post package taking over 30 days to get to me from 7 miles away. Hawaii sent the package back to Sacramento then back to me in Mililani, Hi. Hawaii has the worst form of postal service in the nation. Hands down. Priority mail from Long Beach to Hawaii takes over 7 days, 4 days sitting in a Honolulu office wondering what they are going to do about it. always always allow more than enough time for mail to arrive in Hawaii....
3. it takes about a week for regular snail mail. if you want express, then it will take about 2-3 days. if you want over night, then it will be overnight
4. worst of any state in the union...maybe write the address in pidgin, it might get there fasta brah..
5. by far this island chain has the slowest service in the country if not the world!
