- Why don't you just call and ask?
- Do we look like Kinko's employees here? Check their website if anything.
- At Ritz/Wolf camera you can get a 24x36 done fore about $40... I did one once and it turned out great.
- Pick up a telephone. Dial the number of the mentioned companies, when they answer ask them what they charge.
- Wal-Mart does a 20x30 for about $16
- Best I've seen for posters is El-Co labs. 20x30 for $9.95 (minimum order is two prints) Other sizes comparably priced. Check their poster special page: http://www.elcocolor.com/poster_special.htm And it's a true photographic print, not some cheap "poster" print like you get at some places. I'm not knocking Kinko's. They may be fine. I don't have any experience with them. But I do use El-Co, and they're great!
- It really all depends on what you're using it for. There are different amounts for different materials. The cheapest material they offer is an indoor material that looks sort of like photo paper and that is $7/sq. ft. So 18x24 (3 sq. ft), for example, would be about $21 not including tax. Yes, it's all my sq. footage. However, at our store, the minimum order price for posters has to be $25 so you'll be forced to make it a little bigger or something. If you're looking for outdoor use, the vinyl is $8/sq. ft. which for an 18x24 (3 sq. ft) example will be about $24 before tax. If 24x36 were an example (6 sq. ft), it'd be $48 before tax. Just figure out the sq. footage and multiply by the cost of the material. There are other materials that you might want to check out that are a bit more pricey. It depends on what you want to use the poster for. The two that I mentioned are the cheapest. If you want to laminate your poster for extra protection, it's another $5/sq. ft. If you want it mounted on foam core board it's another $5/sq. ft. If you want grommets to hang up your poster, those are $1 each. Don't forget that it will be at least a 24 hour turnaround time so don't expect it right away. Come in a day or two early. You'll most likely have to come back to check out a sample of your poster because they require proofs for posters since colors come out different when on different materials and pictures get blurred when stretched too much.
