What's it like to work at Fedex Kinko's?
OK, I feel totally lame because I'm so unemployed and willing to go and work there, but has anyone worked there before and liked anything about it? Tell me good and bad stuff, please!

- believe me it's a bundle...no really is a good placee to work. good benifits.etc...fast paced-- though ,you will do just fine...good luck
- I wouldn't know I have never worked there? But why feel lame? Are you trying to impress someone? I have learned as long as you are happy doing a job then who cares what your job is. Do not let your worth or self value be determined by the job you hold. Life is so much more than that. Good luck with the job hunt though.
- I worked for Kinko's, and then Fedex Kinko's, for a total of almost four & a half years. Here's the good: You can learn to use a lot of office project machines and software. Here's the bad: 1.) People WILL walk in off the street and treat you like crap. It still amazes me how many people I see at my current job at Borders who are friendly there, but were complete @ssholes at Kinko's! 2.) Fedex is renowned for their treating labor like crap, unless your a pilot or some sort of exec. They will place any butthole with no real future in a management position, if they think that person will pucker up enough and sell their soul to the company. 3.) Along those lines, don't expect any real good opportunities for advancement or pay increases--maybe one little one per year. 4.) Since the Fedex takeover and 911, don't expect to be able to run a lot of personal projects for free or a good discount either. **Bottom line: If you're just looking for a temporary job until you can find something better, with significantly less stress, you could suck it up and do it for awhile. DO NOT get into the company loyalty trap for this one. Learn what you can, then apply it to making yourself more marketable to someone who will give a damn about you.
