FedEx Kinko's Security Cameras?

I always noticed every time I go in how many cameras they have here in Orange County, CA and well just yesterday, my boyfriend was arrested stemming from some video footage of a few months ago. Does anyone know how long they keep the footage? Is it very accurate? Doesn't it just delete after a month w/ no one watching. Just wondering. Thanks for looking :o)

  1. It varies with every company on how long they keep the tapes. Some companies can only afford to keep tapes a week, some for months. In Las Vegas they can keep their tapes for as long as a year because they can afford new tapes better than most businesses.
  2. I used to work as a surveillance camera operator for Dillard's department store. We did not have any tapes. Everything that the camera picked up 24/7 was burned onto a hard drive on our computers and deleted themselves approximately every month. If we wanted to review the recording of anything, all we had to do was go into the computer and search the date & time. But, if we suspected anything or investigating any theft, we would burn the incident on a CD-R disk for evidence.
