Where can I create high quality prints of digital photos?
I know FedEx Kinko's creates prints, but what other stores/prints shops are there?

- High quality prints start with high quality resolution. Keep your resolution the highest you can 180-300 dpi, and you'll get great prints anywhere. Higher resolution takes up a lot more memory, but it's worth it if these are photos that have a lot of meaning to you. You can alway erase what you don't want on your hard drive, or transfer to a CD.
- depends where you are, but most camera stores, eg. camera house will do them
- Try a pro or custom photo lab
- I use Mpix.com for all my printwork. They produce great prints and have the best customer service I've dealt with. Replies to emails generally come within minutes during normal business hours. Prints arrive quickly (about 2 days to Ca.). They also have a large selection of mounting options as well as specialty products (like the trading cards with your kids pictures on it, etc). Prices are resonable as well. Tip: If you have a picture that's highly saturated like a sunset, try the metallic paper.
- Most pro labs like New York Camera and there are a number of online sites (Biggerpicture.com) that also do it. Any shop that has dye sublimation, even some of your print shops.
- online try out www.mpix.com or www.adoramapix.com or a local CAMERA store, if you are looking for good quality. Stay away from the discount stores and non-camera stores. Although I will give props to my local Walgreen's... although I don't like the paper they use, too thin, they do a nice job on the printing.
- Costco has a great lab in their store and online as well. You have to be a member. A 20x30 online through them costs less than $20.00 and that includes shipping. Also, shortrunposters.com. They have only one type of finish, matte but for $2.00 a print at something like 17x24 it's a GREAT deal. Good luck.
