U.S postal service job ads on internet?
i came across a ad that says post office jobs and it states the requirements at least 18 yr old. us citizen GED or HS diploma etc. they charge $109.00 to prepare you for the test. if in case you don't pass the test or get hired, you'll receive a refund for your money. Are these ads legit?

- Don't believe the ad. As far as I have heard, the Post Office is laying people off, so paying anyone for a prep for a test makes no sense. If you want a job, you have to look thru ads, on line and off, talk to friends, etc. and find one that way. Don't ever pay for a job, they are supposed to pay you.
- be very careful, businesses like this, most of the time are a scam. They're only helping you to prepare for the exam. if you're decent speller and good math skills you'll probably do fine. Check with the better Businesss bureau just to be safe and see if they any complaints. Do they say the refund is fast??
- Those are a scam...you don't have to pay money to work at the post office.
- Those ads were legit for the "old" test for the USPS. There is a "new" test for the USPS. I haven't seen it, but from what I have heard, it has nothing to do with actual skills--it's psychological. Currently there is a hiring freeze at the USPS. And if there wasn't, I wouldn't spend $109 to prepare for the test. Bookstores used to sell the test preparation books that most people use. They usually cost less than $25. I believe those places refund your money only if you don't pass the test, not if you don't get hired.
