How many postal stamps would I need to send something from Spencerville, Ohio to Charlottesville Virginia?

Yeah how many stamps would I need and how much would it cost? Spencerville is by Lima, Ohio. What I'm sending contains a payment by the way. Its an envelope and there is cash in there, no check or anything, cash is being sent.

1. You never send cash buy a money order for 50cents and you just buy one stamp ,the you would put on any letter unless it's going to be heavy .lololol
2. The cost of a first class letter is the same, 42 cents, with the U.S whether you send across the street or across the country. Sending cash is not safe. There is no way of proving it was received. Buy a money order at the post office. It can be verified when it is cashed.
3. If it's dollar bills you need to send it registered/recorded delivery to ensure it gets there. Postage rates 1 oz is 42c 2 oz is 59c 3 oz is 76c 3.5 oz is 93c over that is at higher rate 4oz $1.34 5oz $1.51 A Return Receipt is $2.20 If you want to register it it gets expensive up to $100 value = $10.80 up to $500 value = $12.10 If it's more than that go talk to the post office
4. One stamp. But I would suggest gettin a money order. Cash has a tendency to disappear without a trace in the mail.
