- The post office is run by the government. Think about it. In the USA the post office is a government owned corporation that has to go through public hearings to get approval for anything. Their competitors like UPS, Fed-X etc. go to those hearings to lobby against anything that would make the Post Office more competitive with them. Aint that a great system?
- I just learned this fact from "Sicko"... It's the Gov't! They pay for EVERYTHING there (France)... Health, child-care, college education, you name it. Yeah, you pay a little more in taxes but it more than makes up for what you would spend on health insurance and all the rest in the U.S. Awesome movie. I totally recommend it if you haven't seen it already.
