UPS or FedEx question inside...someone help me?

im really thinking seriously about buying a cargo van and becoming an independent contractor to drive for UPS or FedEx. after i buy the cargo van what is the first step that i need to take and could u give me some helpful advice? is this a good career choice?

1. ups rocks!!!! that is what my father always uses and the people that work for ups are really nice and responsible with ur stuff!!
2. well UPS damages your stuff they jump on the doors in the trailer to try to make as many packages fit in the belly of the trailer. Then they load on top Fedex is pretty good. place to work. I don't know about a in-depend driver tho. I work for fedex and we take car of the stuff. most people don't know this tho but UPS helps us to they deliver packages for us some times. Ops the cats out of the bag.
