Are there still good employment opportunities in bioinformatics?

I'm considering graduate school, however I need to choose between an MS in bioinformatics or an MS in software engineering. I feel that bioinformatics would be a worthwhile career, but I'm not sure about the job market for individuals with a masters degree. Anybody have some good information/advice?

1. Dont do the bioinformatics masters - there are jobs out there but for 5 year post PhD graduates not masters grads. At a post - masters level there is nothing around.
