How do i ask about employment opportunities?

I would like to call some retail stores and ask them what the minimum age requirements are. How would i go about asking? Would i just ask the sales associate or would i ask to speak to the manager? And when i did speak to someone would i just say "I was wondering what the minimum age requirement to work here is."? or something along those lines. Please help! Thanks

  1. have you tried Snag A Job? You can go there and find the job that's right for you. There are the #1 source for hourly and part-time jobs. They help connect job seekers with more than 100,000 active job listings from top employers across the country such as Wal Mart,Fed Ex,Verizon and Chase just to name a few. You are able to search by your zip code.check out link below http://wesavemoney.blogspot.com/
  2. Ask to speak with the manager. Ask if they are hiring. (There's no point asking about min. age if they're not hiring, right?) Then ask about minimum age. What you have above sounds fine.
  3. I recommend going in in person and introducing yourself. It is probably best if you ask to speak with a manager. Once you do start asking questions to the manager, he or she may get to know you better and may even offer you a job. In my experience, it is always best to ask in person. Many people think that calling is just fine but it doesn't leave a lasting impression. Hope this helps...
