Post Office's Open Hours?

In San Francisco, Post Office will be closed on every Sunday. What does it mean? Does it mean that no staff will be working in the post office on Sunday, or that staff will still be working in the post office, but people are not allowed to get into the post office to mail their stuff. Because I put my stuff in a postal service mailbox today(Sunday, 02/14/09), and my stuff must be postmarked no later than Fed 16, 2009, which is president's day. So will my stuff not be able to get postmarked on time? Please give me confirmation, thank you so much...

1. No new mail is accepted on Sundays, and the Post Office is closed tomorrow. However, Tuesday is the 16th and it should be postmarked by that day, as it will be their first day of business for the week.
