Postal Letter

Oprah Winfrey and ABC's investigation team 20/20 prove mailing list really work re:making money $1 per letter?

I recv'd letter via mail explaining Oprah her investigation team 20/20 proved that a 15 yr old boy could make $71,000 in just 5 wks & so could I! The 2nd page is a friendly letter advising that an attorney had been consulted to see if this were a legal way of pursuing money. With a few minor changes, the result was to mail a letter to the 6 people on the list stating "please add me to your mailing list" along with a $1.00 bill. 3rd page follows up w/typed personal testomonials along with some tips to make this work. 4th page dives into how this process of mailing list works and a set of instructions 1 thru 4 to be exact. At the end of this page Prepaid "R" US Communications Inc. is referenced by contact # & address and when you call you can get a website so that individuals may purchase labels. The last page indicates that this is 100% legal and safe according to title 18 section 1302,1342 & 1342 of the United States Postal Laws Title 18, sec 3005, in US code, also in code of federal regulations, Vol 16, sec 225 & 436 which states a product or service may be exchanged for money recieved. I am trying to find out of this was ever on the Oprah Winfrey Show or investigated by her 20/20 team members. I would like to get to the bottom of this to see if Oprah herself actually acknowledged this enough to have a show on it or if this is too good to be true. Thank you. Debra Sivalingam 714-402-5997

  1. It was not on the Oprah Show. You can check on www.oprah.com..
  2. i also have this letter i wanted to know was it true also.
  3. If you'd bothered to check the cited laws, you would find them to be quite different than what it claims. Here's some proof that the letter is a scam: http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2002/02/eileenspam1.shtm
