How does the US Postal Service detect drugs in letters/packages?

Wouldnt it be smart for the Postal Service to somehow scan its letters and packages for drugs such as ecstasy? Or do they already do this.

1. yeah they get a lot of info from internet sites like this one. Dont do it man.
2. they roll em up and lite em. and if they get a buzz . .then they look inside to see why
3. Sniffer dogs.
4. They can use dogs, but I know of people who have mailed controlled substances cross country in things such peanut butter jars... Wouldn't say that I would ever try it, but I doubt that it is one of their main concerns.
