Printing usps shipping labels on regular paper? Can i tape over the bar code with clear shipping tape?

Hey, i am just starting up my own ebay store and i have bought like 200 of those free boxes from usps.com and i was wondering if i could print those usps shipping labels on a regular Canon MP470 printer and I was wondering if i could print them on regular printing paper paper? When i'm taping the whole shipping label down, can i put tape over the bar code if it's just regular clear shipping tape?

3. The USPS prefers you didn't, but It's probably fine. I wouldn't take the chance though
