I'm a USPS employee. I did not make any contributions to TSP during 2008, can I contribute to an IRA for 2008?

1. You can do whatever you want with your Net income. The whole purpose of the TSP is to save pretaxed dollars. The best fund right now is the G Fund and with 5% matching. You cant beat that.
