I need help with shipping items on ebay?

I am new to ebay and I am very confused with the shipping costs. I am selling a girls winter coat, it is about 2lbs. With the flat rate shipping's can I use my own box? What is the differences? I see for US Postal Service Priority Mail Flat Rate Box® it is $9.80. How do I know if I need a larger box or if this is suitable. Im confused. Please help me.

1. Well first off, as for Priority...there are multiple flat rate boxes...you'de have to go to the Post Office front window and ask for prices. If you're looking for the cheapest shipping, go to the P.O. front window and ask for "Parcel Post". You should have the item packaged, addressed and ready to go, everything except the postage. They will print out the postage and attach it to the package. Parcel Post is the slowest method. Just for a little more $, you can upgrade to priority. In which case you can still use your own box, or use a USPS provided box. More questions?? Message me
