How much are Fedex Ground drivers paid per package to deliver and pick up?

I understand Fedex Ground drivers are independent contractors. How much do they get paid for each package they deliver and for each package they pick up? Is that gross or net? (i.e., is that after they pay for the truck, insurance, and gas)?

  1. I'm not sure how much they're paid per package but I do know FedEx Ground contractors/drivers earn over $100k a year per route.
  2. The package pay price depend on many things weight, zip, and how the package was processed (ex. did a FedEx Dealer process it they get less). Their income depends all on the route they run or the team they maybe attached two.
  3. Again, each contracted route varies. There are certain factors that provide the contractors settlement. Mileage, distance from terminal, projected volume, weight of package, etc. If you are interested in a route, ask contractors in your local terminal. They would be the best source for telling you about the business.
