Postal Letter

Postal Service jobs?? Am I wasting my time?

I'm currently studying to take the 473 exam, because I saw an ad in my local paper stating that there was alot of positions coming open. I am not in need of a job, I am currently working for the school district, but would like to get a job in the postal service. I'm just wondering if there really is any employments available or if the outlook is decent in that field. I am kind of skeptical due to the way the economy is right now and everyone is looking for a job. Am I wasting my time? I'm going to take the test none the less, but should I not get my hopes up for employment? Thanks!!

  1. Why don't you try being a house wife? because someone has to clean the house, wash the dishes, and cook the food, you know? I believe all women belong in the kitchen.
  2. The Postal Service is laying off over 40,000 people this year nationwide. That does not mean there might not be an opening here or there in certain comunities. If you really want to work for the Postal Service, you have to take the exam first. But it's hard to say if or when there might be an opening in your area.
