How the postal service helps us connect with the world???

I wonder how the postal service helps us connect with the world. Why won't we use email when it's much more convenient?

1. because there are some things that we can't send by email. Can we send a home-made quilt by email?no, not really. So we still send snail-mail. Sometimes it's just nice to go to your mail box and see that you've received a letter or card, or you could be in jail and not be able to receive emails. It's just one of those things.
