How long does it take USPS to make a delivery?

I have a tracking number and it says on the USPS website that the package was processed in my city and is currently on route. If that's the case, will my package be delivered today? Any idea how long it should take for the carrier to make the delivery? Or is there a good approximate time? Thanks.

  1. Depends on the method. First class - 3 to 5 days Priority - 3 days Parcel - 5-7 days If its in your city it should arrive today, if not by tomorrow.
  2. Is this UPS or your mailperson if it is the mailperson they will deliver packages before or after they deliver your mail and you said that you have a tracking number so if you found out that it is in your town it will be delivered today but it might be late when it is because they have to deliver everything on the truck before they can go home and if they tried to deliver your package and they do get an answer they will leave a card saying that they will try to deliver the package again on a certain date and if you are not home they will leave another card telling you to go and pick-up you package at their delivery center.
