what should i major in college to own a delivery business like fedex or UPS?

I want to own a delivery business like ups or fedex but i dont know what to major in college...any info will be greatly appreciated!

1. declare business as your major, and as you progress through the years, specailize in shipping.
2. I received a BS Business as an undergrad and then an MBA. I learned more in the first 3 months of grad school than I did as an undergrad. I'd suggest to you as I urge all young people: pursue a liberal arts degree and expand your broader education; and then pursue an MBA if you wish. Truth be known-- experience is going to be your best teacher. MBA's are less impt. in today's world in terms of entrepreneurs who succeed.
3. It depends upon the scale of operation you seek. If you plan on a having a handful of trucks for local delivery take courses found in a typical Bachelors of Business Admininistration degree. Namely, accounting, marketing, business law, management as well as operation and supply chain management. On the other hand if you plan on really being like UPS and FedEx you will want to major in corporate finance because operations on a national scale takes huge capital investments. You will need major capital funding to approach anything even remotely approaching those companies. Good luck and best wishes.
