How long will the post office keep my package?

How long will the post office hold my package? It has been there for about 4 days already. How long will the post office keep it there for me? I'm really worried because I need the package before Wednesday! What does the post office do if I don't claim my package after a long time?

1. if you need it very badly you better get it tomorrow.
2. I think they keep it for 10 days. If you call them and tell them to hold it longer,m they usualy will.
3. well usally the latest i leave it there for is 6 days i would get it ASAP

5. If I were you I would go pick it up first thing Tuesday morning.
